S.A.L. COMMANDER'S PAGE
I'd like to personally thank those members who were able to attend the SAL meeting last night. This was our first after the summer break and we had a number of tasks to get done.
I know many of you are still working full time jobs and can't always come to the meetings. We will be sending out minutes to try and keep everyone up to date on what's happening and important topics so please watch for and read them when they are published.
As we have a new set of officers this year, I thought it important to get together with them and plan the year and get ourselves organized to make the general membership meetings more productive. To that point we had two executive meetings at the end of June and July. I am very happy with the progress we made and we were able to bring topics to last night's meeting and take action on them. I am excited about the momentum and plan to keep it going.
We really could use some more volunteers for the twice per month Monday night Bingo. Very excited to see this back at our post and getting off to a really good start. It's fun and the jobs are easy and what a great way to meet your fellow SAL and other Post members. If you can spare a few hours it would be great to have your participation.
Post Adjutant, Matt Livesay is heading up the project but you can get in touch with any of us if you can help out.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting in September and the crabfeast on October 4th.
